  • This module focuses on genetics and inheritance.


    Be sure to complete the short answer assignment, the lab, the Mastery Exercises, and the module exam.  Watch the videos and complete the practice problems to facilitate your learning.

    Short answer assignments should be approximately 200-300 words.

    1. Study and interpret the pedigree of a family through multiple generations and identify certain inherited traits.
    2. Use the principles of probability in conjunction with Mendel's laws and coin tosses to predict inheritance traits.
    3. Predict what the offspring's phenotypes should be, and observe what percentage follow this prediction.
