  • This module will delve into the processes of mitosis & meiosis.


    Be sure to complete the short answer assignment, the lab, the Mastery Exercises, and the module exam.  Watch the videos and complete the practice problems to facilitate your learning.

    Short answer assignment responses should be approximately 200-300 words.

    1. Describe the 5 subphases of mitosis, and the 10 subphases of meiosis.
    2. Observe the different phases of mitosis in the cells of a plant and animal cell, describe the differences.
    3. Calculate the percentage of cells in each stage in the plant and animal cell.
    4. Calculate the percentage of cells in each stage in the plan and animal cell.
    5. Give examples of errors that occur in meiosis including aneuploidy and polyploidy.
