    Teachers will learn about addressing student behaviors that interfere with learning and evidence based strategies to support students in school. Key topics include challenging behaviors in children and adolescents, classroom supports and interventions, behavior interventions within Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), behavioral analysis and data collection methods, and the impact of adverse childhood experiences.

    This module discusses behavioral assessments and interventions that can be used for students who do not respond to Tier I or II supports.

     Review the lesson (either in PPT or PDF, both file formats are posted but the presentations are the same) before completing the module assignments.

    1. Students will recognize and understand when to begin a Functional Behavioral Assessment.
    2. Students will understand the components and steps involved in implementing a Functional Behavior Assessment to create a Behavior Intervention Plan.
    3. Students will understand fidelity, implementation and monitoring of a Behavior Intervention Plan.
